The room was clean and tidy and I alert well. Due to time restraints I was unable to book breakfast. My visit was to take part in the Chester Half Marathon. The travel time from the hotel was only 8 minutes which allowed us to get to the race course in plenty of time before the roads got closed. I had stayed at the race course holiday inn last year which was perfect . Unfortunately I left booking too late and although many of my friends did get booked in at that hotel. Two of us had to book at the holiday inn south, it did not impact on our enjoyment of the weekend.

Amazingly friendly welcome from helpful and cheery staff. This includes the reception staff, the waiting and bar staff and the housekeeping team. Great location to explore Chester - we hopped on the park n ride bus. 2 out of 3 nights there was a great simple buffet which was a god send for me in a party of 3.mums and 8 children... like being on an all inclusive . everyone was happy. Breakfast was great too. We were on the ground floor so to steps to manage to get to our rooms and oh my the water pressure was awesome.

Exceptional staff doesn’t even come close. from the moment we checked in we were greeted by the friendly informative accommodating Reception staff. Off to the pool and the sports reception staff were just great. the bar staff reserved us a family table for dinner and we’re very friendly and kind with us all. the food, although expensive, was fabulous excellent pizza’s and huge portions. We we’re spoilt for breakfast from pancakes to full cook. Great night sleep, nice and clean. a must to stay again thank you Team

Staff Friendly and approachable, very helpful when we had issues or queries and got it sorted there and then. Room clean and comfortable and again staff friendly. Breakfast well presented, varied in choice, thoroughly enjoyed ours. Evening meal which we had in the lounge/bar was cooked to our liking too on both evenings, but shame the restaurant wasn't open Saturday evening. However we had a lovely weekend stay, Thanks to All the Staff. We would stay here again.

The staff at the hotel: particularly the receptionist was really helpful, especially when I approached her with a problem. I also enjoyed the shower; it was AMAZING!!! I didn't want to get out. Overall, it was a nice hotel and would recommend.
